After Eid moments…

The family potlucks for COW PARTS…yum…cow brain.

Eid Fails- 2011 Eid-ul Adha edition.

1. Some lady bringing a bath towel instead of a prayer rug to prayers

2. Leaving the house without a safety pin to secure Hijab

3. My whipped cream melting off from my trifle before someone can even WALK to the dessert table.

4. Boys taking longer to dress up than the girls…

5. Trying to make noodles for the kids…noodles get done cooking after the kids are done eating the adult food.

6. spending Eid money on gas, and on lil brothers clothes. ekh

7. counted 13 Toyotas outside the house. (but those weren’t the ONLY cars)

8. cutting hand…not realizing till 9 hours later

9. dancing in the food line while singing “I want potatoes”….don’t realize anything…everyone is staring.

10. Planning to play FIFA on PS3 all day…it breaks down…drives all the way to another city to get another PS3…forgets wires…now a silent moment for PS3. jk. Astagfirullah.

Eid Mubarak everyone!!

So far I ate Haleem, a 13 layer trifle, mutter paneer, rice, 2 types of chicken, chom chom sweets, and 5 glasses of the fizzy drink I made….there are still about 10 other things on the table yet to be eaten, AND another 3 more houses to go.

Is it nap time yet?

How was everyone’s eid?

Mine went well! pictures coming soon!

First time in 22 years, I’ll be doing Eid without my parents…breaking my heart like no other.

Eid Mubarak everyone! Whether you’ll be celebrating it Tuesday or Wednesday, with new clothes or old, with lots of family or just two people, with lots of food, or just a date…be thankful that you will still be celebrating Inshallah. I may miss my parents, missed them all Ramadan, but I’m thankful for the 1000 people that showed up to our Masjid today, I’m thankful for uncles who won’t stand it for 2 mins If i’m hungry, I’m thankful for aunts who have done everything to make sure they can take care of me like my mom, I’m thankful for cousins who has always been there for me and always will, I’m thankful to have a family that makes sure i have new clothes, and my favorite dishes on Eid, and everything else I could possibly need. Not everyone is so lucky, so I’m thankful, only Allah has given me this, and he can take it away anytime…but I make dua everynight He doesn’t, and so should you for everything you have, given to you by Allah (SWT).

Eid-ul-Fitr is in TWO WEEKS!
