we are learning about religion in geography now and my professor really doesn’t know what she is talking about. she just said that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe in the same God. Any Jew, Christian, or Muslim would tell you that they most definitely do not believe or worship the same God. It’s the same kind of monotheistic idea, but in no way are they the same.

actually…its the SAME god. Just difference in Languages for the name of God. But Jews, Christians and Muslims are all “people of the book” and those books have been sent by no other than GOD, the same as Allah (Muslims), or Adonai (jews). People who don’t know very well what Muslims believe in will tell you that their God is separate from the rest..but no…in order to be Muslim, we must believe in what it says in the bible and the torah (holy books for the Christians and Jews) because again, those books just like the Quran, were sent down by the same God.

Again, I can’t believe I’m repeating this again but is it really that hard to say that extremists and ignorant people are the cause of terrorism? Is it that hard not to bring Islam into it?

When somebody else commits an act of terrorism a new religious term isn’t invented for it (and rightly so) so why are Islamism and Islamist terms (that immediately cast a negative shadow over the entire religion because these negative connotations have the root “Islam”) but there’s no such thing as “Christianist” or “Judaist” to imply extreme factions in Christianity or Judaism- it’s because acts of terror from those groups are not associated with the religion and rightly so.

So can we please hold individuals to account for their own actions and not condemn entire (huge, 1.5 billion people huge) groups?

Imagine the Places we could have been If everyone were to lose religion and work together. (HUMANISM) Is for the win. Religion causes people to seperate themselves,and cause hate to others.Not only that but religious people are such hypocrites Like “love everyone,Except the gays and jews” what type of fuckery is this?

my response: Why is religion always to blame…people would still be PEOPLE without it…as in, have free will…and do terrible things. Do athiests not make mistakes? and do wrong things? as long as there are people….evil will continue, we actually have religion to thank for the GOOD in this world…noooo one thinks about how religion teaches you to “love thy neighbor”, or give charity, smile to one one another….WHAT religion in its books says “HATE JEWS?”… 

people need to get real, sorry…alll respect to this post, because I agree with humanism as well…people need to work together, but RELIGION isn’t to blame, is never to blame.
