Day 1

“O Allah, on this day make my fast the fasts of those who fast (sincerely), and my standing up in prayer of those who stand up in prayer (obediently), awaken me in it from sleep of the heedless,
and forgive me my sins, O God of the worlds, and forgive me,
O one who forgives the sinners”
Ameen.

A great first day. From the waking up experience. reading Quran until sunrise…to Jummah, all the way to spending time with my grandma and other family as we wait for Iftar. Alongside wanting it to be a month of worship, and spiritual development, I also want this to be a month of joy, peace, and happiness. You have no idea how it feels to have peace in my heart with all the crazy turmoil in life around me. You have no idea how its like to just feel CONTENT no matter whats going on. Allah swt has that power, and I havent been very focused on him, and letting him heal my heart.

Also this month is already making me realize how special some people can be in your life. Someone who is so dedicated to you that they go out of their way to wake you up for fajr, sit through sehri in mid sleep….check up on you, and shows you how much they care. I’m either really blessed right now, or have something I don’t deserve.

Inshallah lets see what other joys and blessings Ramadan brings on. To who ever reading this now, I hope the month of Ramadan started off just as amazing for you as mine. Inshallah, He showers the rest of the month with many many blessings for you and your family.

PLUS ITS ABOUT TO RAIN. SO happyy right now. sight.
